“A good marriage is like the Grand Canyon. It’s long, deep, challenging, and weathered. But looking back or from afar, it is the most beautiful thing in the world.” – Phil
Planning a wedding ceremony at The Grand Canyon National Park? Welcome to the website for your own Grand Canyon Wedding Officiant!
We’re Phillip and Gwen Waring, and we have been performing romantic faith-based and civil wedding ceremonies at The Grand Canyon National Park and all over Arizona since 1977. We love helping couples who want a personalized and fulfilling celebration of their relationship!
The Grand Canyon, one of the natural wonders of the world, is the most amazing wedding site imaginable. If it’s 100 people or just the two of you, The Grand Canyon offers you unforgettable scenery as far as the eye can see. The Grand Canyon National Park receives 6 million visitors every year, so we’re here to help you navigate the very best wedding experience.
Your ceremony can be faith-based or civil in content. Family and friends are welcome to participate if you so desire. You can enjoy a sand ceremony or we can help you tie The Golden Cords into a wedding day knot you can keep forever! We’ll go over all the details together to assure your complete satisfaction.
Seems the temperature and wind speed often feel very close to the same number here in this wide, open space. At an average elevation of 7100 feet, the roads leading to the Grand Canyon can be closed periodically from October through May due to snow. That’s right, snow! So, we always plan an easy alternative location in the event the weather turns foul.
We will perform your ceremony just about any time of the day. Mid-day the canyon glows. Sunrise or sunset you get more sky with a shadowy canyon.
Our fee is just $700 which includes planning the ceremony, writing changes to personalize it, on-time arrival in proper attire, conducting the beautiful ceremony, recording the marriage license, and all travel expenses (from Phoenix).
