“Phil served as the officiant for our Grand Canyon wedding and was absolutely amazing to work with, going above and beyond anything we imagined from an officiant. Reading about his ceremonies at the Grand Canyon on his website is actually what convinced us we could plan a destination wedding from another state and still have the ceremony of our dreams.” Beth G., Los Angeles, CA
1) First, you will need a marriage license from any Arizona County. Use our links to find local offices or how to obtain a marriage license by mail.
2) You may be traveling with others or not. But laws state you need two witnesses age 18 or over (don’t worry if you are eloping, we can help secure witnesses).
3) Secure a reliable judge or an authorized clergy officiant to solemnize or pronounce the marriage. That’s us, of course! We have the experience.
4) A permit is required for weddings performed inside The Grand Canyon National Park. We cannot process your application for the permit. Call 928-638-7707 for complete information.
The park also provides these flyers at the main gates:
We have spent decades guiding couples through the legal and ceremonial process of getting married. You can have a romantic civil ceremony or a ceremony with elements of your faith. We can recommend some music or celebrate in quiet. You may write and say your own vows or just say “I do!”
Our fee is $700 which includes planning the ceremony, personalizing it if you desire, arriving on time in proper attire, conducting a beautiful ceremony, recording the marriage license, and all travel expenses (7 hours round trip from Phoenix). By the way, Horseshoe Bend and Grand Canyon West are extremely remote locations not located in The Grand Canyon National Park and will incur additional fees.
